Almond Dawn
A commission, and an opportunity for me to see the world beyond my own horizons as my client wanted to capture the things she loves best from a region close to her heart: rural Spain. Almond Dawn is a celebration of a life lived to the full, but with the promise of further adventure at the beginning of each new day.

My client was gifted the commission by her family in celebration of her life and her support of them. We had a lovely lengthy chat about her life to date, things, people and places which are important to her, and her outlook as she approaches the next stage of her life with so many opportunities ahead of her. We ended up focussing on a special place in rural Spain, and the idea of renewal and joy from each new adventure.
I used different marks, coupled with a rainbow roll to bring warmth and a positive cast to the final design in this multiblock print produced using two blocks.
