Good Friday 2019, and we were given a whole weekend of childcare. My husband booked us in for a surprise night in an hotel, so we set off for the Lake District to check in…only we got sidetracked by a tempting looking hill on the way over, which had to be climbed.
A few hours later and we were once again back on the road, as the sun set over the nearest lake and a perfect day came to its end. Later that evening we sat on the balcony of our hotel and watched as a pink moon rose over the fields, and my colour palette was decided.
