Nesting
Hanging out of a loft window in Tarbert on Harris in May 2019, I watched this pair of pigeons having a slow morning from the warmth and comfort of their respective chimneypots.
I sketched the scene (whilst being devoured by midges), took some photos and worked the whole thing up into this simple linocut once I’d made it back home to Northumberland.
I love to get up above street level; there’s a whole other world so high up off the ground.
